An agent readiness scanner for a store is a free tool that fetches your public pages and scores how well an AI agent could find, read and use them. Five commerce-specific scanners are public today, and they do not check the same things. This is what each one says it measures, taken from its own pages.
All descriptions below are the vendors’ own, read on October 6, 2026. We did not run their scanners, and we make no claim about how accurate their scores are. For the general-purpose tools (Cloudflare, Lighthouse), see who can assess a store for AI agent readiness.
UCP Checker: the manifest, in detail
UCP Checker is the only one of the five that publishes its weights. Its 0-100 UCP Score is a weighted average of three categories:
- Agent Discovery, 30%: HTTPS, reachability, an agent-friendly robots.txt, and surface signals such as
/llms.txt, sitemap.xml and Organization JSON-LD. - UCP Conformance, 40%: whether the
/.well-known/ucpmanifest validates against the spec. Validity is weighted 3x. - Capability Coverage, 30%: declared transports (REST, MCP, A2A), checkout support, payment handlers and breadth of capabilities.
Its optional functional probes send a benign request to each declared transport. The methodology page states they are read-only and “do not exercise checkout or write any state.” The site says it re-crawls 23,262 storefronts every 24 hours.
If you have not published a UCP manifest, this tool mostly tells you so.
AI Commerce Audit: 82 checks across platforms
AI Commerce Audit scores Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce stores from 0 to 100 using 82 checks. It lists discovery, product data, crawlable policies and the ACP, UCP and Stripe checkout specs, and reports results across five AI surfaces (ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity, Meta, Copilot). It pins spec versions on the day of the audit (ACP 2026-04-17, UCP 2026-04-08, Stripe 2026-04-22.preview) and samples up to 20 product pages found through the sitemap. The audit is free.
Asva: 147 checks against UCP and ACP
Asva’s Agentic Readiness tool is described as a free instant audit against UCP and ACP standards: 147 checks, the top five fixes with paste-ready code, no signup. Asva sells other AI-visibility products alongside it.
AgenticTrack: catalog data and agent orders
AgenticTrack pairs a free readiness report with a paid tracker. It says it scans every product against ACP, UCP and MCP standards and breaks the score down by schema markup, identifiers and attributes (for example missing GTINs). It also pitches attribution of agent-placed orders that analytics would otherwise file as “direct.”
Agentic Commerce Readiness Scanner: three layers
The Agentic Commerce Readiness Scanner (marked beta) shows a sample report with three layers: AI discovery, catalog readability and transaction readiness. It lists 9 readability signals and 20+ diagnostics, and adds a separate test that asks an OpenAI model about your store.
What the five have in common
Every page above describes checks on what a store publishes: a manifest, product schema, policies, spec files. That is useful, and it is where most failures start. But the pages we read describe nothing about attempting the purchase itself, and UCP Checker states its probes stay clear of checkout. A store can publish every file and still lose the agent at the variant picker or the payment step.
Use these as presence checks. For the transaction layer, the five-step manual checklist covers what a file scan cannot, and our methodology lists what we score. The reason scores diverge is explained in why agent readiness scores disagree.
FAQ
Which agent readiness scanner is best for an online store?
None is best on its own, because they measure different layers. UCP Checker is the most transparent about weights and focuses on the UCP manifest. AI Commerce Audit and Asva check against ACP and UCP specs, and AgenticTrack emphasizes product-data completeness. Run one commerce scanner plus a manual check of the checkout path.
Do these scanners test whether an AI agent can actually buy from my store?
Based on their public pages, they check what the store publishes rather than completing a purchase. UCP Checker says its probes are read-only and do not exercise checkout. The other four pages describe checks on declared standards, schema and policies, not a test order.
Are free agent readiness scanners reliable?
They are consistent about what they check, but their scores are not comparable with each other. Each uses its own checks and weights, and most publish few details. Treat a score as a to-do list for that tool’s layer, and compare a store only against itself over time.
